UNDER THE SIGN OF THE HUMMINGBIRD
THE COMPANY
THE TEAM
When CPT was founded in 1992 with 5 CNC lathes and a milling center, the company had only 11 employees. In the meantime, the number has multiplied – and it is not just a team, but a real team has emerged that tackles every new challenge together. Come with us on a little excursion into our departments and get to know some of our team members.
THE TECHNOLOGIES: For every new order, the team of technologists checks how the customer's request can be best fulfilled, creates individual programs for the machines and is constantly tinkering with how CPT can become technologically even better.
THE "IRON MAN". This is how Sven Engert, the head of the steel warehouse at CPT, is fondly referred to. He ensures that the tons of freight delivered daily are properly inspected, recorded, stored, and made available to production at the right time. For over 20 years, he has been a loyal asset to the company.
THE ASSEMBLY: Our assembly workshop team meticulously assembles even the smallest components with the utmost precision. Thanks to sophisticated technology at state-of-the-art workstations, our assembly workshop can also offer people with limited sensory perception a good, secure job, thus contributing to the best possible inclusion in working life.
HERE COME THE "SPEEDSTERS": They run and run, just like the machines at CPT: Our "Maintenance Team" is always on hand with their repair van whenever a malfunction occurs. Our "Speedsters" are also responsible for maintenance and cleaning, always ensuring reliable production.
THE CPT FAMILY: This includes all employees, because we are more than "just" a team. In the narrower sense, however, CPT is also a classic family business, managed by Managing Director Carmen Ahnert and her daughter Nicole Ahnert as authorized signatory. With little Emily, who is already exploring the world of CPT at kindergarten age, the next generation is also ready to take over.
THE PROCESS GROUP LEADERS: CPT customers can always rely on smooth production processes. This is also ensured by the process group leaders, who act as a link between the early, late, and night shifts.
ADMINISTRATION TEAM: Anonymous hotlines? Not at CPT. Ronny Beer and his team are personally available as the first point of contact for customers and always maintain close contact with suppliers. Order management, production planning, accounting, and marketing are closely integrated within the administration team, always ensuring quick coordination.
WELL TESTED IS HALF WON: Our testing and measurement center bears the nickname "Green Vault" due to its green walls. With highly precise measuring technology, it is ensured that all quality criteria are meticulously met for all components. The certifications according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and DIN ISO 9001:2000 speak for themselves.
OPTIMAL SHIPPING: Our high-bay warehouse, also known as a Hänel Lift, makes it possible to store products for our customers in a space-saving manner and in large quantities, and to ship them "just in sequence".
QUALITY ASSURANCE: Before the finished product is shipped, it must undergo a meticulous inspection by our quality assurance staff. Using digital magnifying glasses, even the smallest components are examined for even smaller defects (e.g., the smallest scratches), so that only the best products leave our halls.
CNC PRODUCTION TEAM: Working in three shifts, the CPT production team delivers precision work around the clock. Turning, milling, deburring, measuring, setting up, programming – each individual in the large, state-of-the-art production hall contributes to ensuring that every part is perfect for every customer.
NEXT GENERATION: With authorized officer Nicole Ahnert and industrial foreman Robert Ahnert, the company's succession is already secured. Both have been contributing to the company's success in senior positions for many years – both commercially and technologically – and are leading it into the future.
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT: We support many customers from the very beginning of their project development process. All CPT departments contribute their expertise to find the best solution for each individual customer request.
THE P IN CPT
… represents Precision.
Highest Precision. To ensure that we consistently meet this ambition every day, we rely on comprehensive quality assurance. This begins before the start of the project – in the form of detailed quality planning where our many years of experience gained from many highly demanding projects are reflected. Continuous quality control is also carried out throughout the entire production process. For example, random samples are constantly taken during production, and incoming goods are also subject to strict controls. Finally, in the internal measuring and testing center, the final inspection ensures that even the smallest parts, where accuracy in the range of less than hundredths or even thousandths of a millimeter is required, have been produced precisely and reliably meet all quality criteria. No part leaves the production hall without this “final check”. Some might call it nitpicking, we call it a quality promise that our customers can rely on at any time.
FOR THE LOVE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Anyone entering CPT’s production hall, whether in summer or winter, morning or evening, will always find constant room temperatures, clean air, appropriate humidity, low pollution and consistent light levels. This is made possible by a novel overall energy concept, which, with its sophisticated components, also noticeably reduces energy costs and guarantees environmentally friendly production. Components include an underground gravel storage tank that cools or heats the air as needed and cleans it, as well as compressors with heat recovery, a photovoltaic system on the roof and a fully automatic lighting system. The new hall was hardly in operation when CPT won the second prize in the nationwide competition “Grünes Haus 2012 – Industry and Commerce” of the Institute for Applied Energy Efficiency. At the award ceremony in Berlin, it was particularly praised that this innovative energy concept included process heat as well as light, heating and alternative energy methods. The example shows: Environmental and climate protection is not just a buzzword at CPT, but a central component of the entire company’s activities – and has been for many years.
